Born in France and shaped by a lifetime in hospitality, Mathilde created Black Opal Society from a passion for refined gatherings, meaningful connection, and unforgettable experiences.

 

Raised around long family lunches, elegant dinners, exceptional wine, and the ritual of gathering, she learned early that true hospitality is not simply about service — it is about atmosphere, emotion, and memory.

 

After years working in restaurants, luxury events, private estates, and exclusive villa experiences across San Francisco and Maui, she envisioned something more intimate and elevated: a roaming caviar experience designed to move effortlessly through the room, creating moments that feel rare, elegant, and deeply memorable.
